Resisting Submission
In Colonial times the idea of complete control over every aspect of the colonists lives by the empire did not sit well. The Sons of Liberty was created around 1765 to protest the overbearing control of the Crown over the people.
The people's resistance to submission and love of freedom led to the Revolutionary War and the victory over tyranny. Soon after, the colonists won their independence and wrote our beloved Constitution. The 5 great freedoms enshrined in our First Amendment are worth fighting for in the new empire that Americans are threatened by.
